My dreams have always fascinated me. Ask anyone who knows me!
Sometimes they arrive as strange and crazy stories, sometimes as bits of truth, and sometimes as just nonsense that makes me laugh. But more than once, I’ve felt they were trying to tell me something — like lights glowing in the dark, guiding me toward something I needed to see.
From Snippets of Memory to Something More
For years, I woke up trying to remember my latest dream and share it with anyone who would listen. The problem was, no one really wanted to hear the whole story, and eventually I gave up. The dream would slip away, unrecorded and forgotten.
What I really wanted was a way to capture the messages my subconscious was sending me—and to look back later for meaning. I needed more than just a simple record. I wanted a place to notice patterns, track recurring symbols, and reflect on the synchronicities that weave my dream life into my waking one.
That’s where the idea for the Slightly Mystical Dream Journal came from. I wanted a book that didn’t feel heavy or overly “woo,” but still left room for mystery and meaning. A place where you could:
-
record your dreams,
-
circle the symbols that stood out,
-
note the emotions you felt, and
-
return later to see the threads weaving through your nights.
Why It Matters to Me
This journal is also part of my larger journey. My household is full of real life — my husband, my son, my mom, and plenty of stories that keep me laughing and grounded. Amidst the chaos, dreams are my quiet space.
They remind me that even in ordinary life, there’s always something slightly mystical waiting to be noticed.
An Invitation
So here it is — my first book, the Slightly Mystical Dream Journal. I hope it becomes a companion for anyone who wants to explore their own dreams and maybe discover something new about themselves along the way.
