Building Peachick Press in Public (Log #2): Nesting the Details

What’s done today:

I started gathering all the small things that make a publishing nest feel real — the fonts, colors, and phrases that say Peachick Press lives here. I wrote down the words that come to mind when I picture it: kind, curious, soft-spoken, a little magical. It’s amazing how even a color palette can feel like a personality forming.

What’s next:

To give it structure. I’m mapping out the first few titles and deciding how they’ll sit under this little umbrella — children’s stories, journals, and the Slightly series. Nothing fancy yet, just sketches and notes, but it’s a start. The hardest part is slowing down enough to let it grow naturally instead of forcing it into something too big too soon.

Lesson learned:

You don’t build a brand by rushing toward the finish line. You build it by noticing what feels right — and what doesn’t — and letting your instinct lead the way and make the changes. 🙂
